AERO was participating at EAA Air Venture Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA, 2016 in cooperation with its business partners. As every year, the Aero L-39 aircraft were an irrepressible part of the both static and flight display of the show and on the warbird alley they presented the most widespread jet type. The elegant lines of L-39, popularity of the type in the USA and interest of EAA visitors clearly showed how much timeless the legendary design of the jet is.
Aero team welcomed several delegations with primary focus on re-engining of existing L-39s with Williams International FJ44-4M turbofan engine. The company L-39 demonstrator with FJ44-4M engine passed maiden flight in September 2016 and now is in the final stage of flight tests with perfect results up to date. Several delegations from various countries had already a chance to fly in it and all were amazed by the engine response and improved flight characteristics.
